PLIBRICO REFRACTORY PRODUCTS
PLIBRICO (plastic) is as famous over the world as it has become the pronoun for plastic refractories. PLIBRICO is the firebrick in plastic, putty-like form and can be installed by ramming with wooden hammer or air rammer to any shapes required. After the installation, it is baked with the operation temperature of the furnace itself ( over 1000 C) to form the tough walls. PLIBRICO is generally used to such places as firing furnaces where the temperature is high and fluctuates heavily.
PLIRAM (Ramming Mix) is less moistured and also less putty-like compared to PLIBRICO and is installed in the same manner as PLIBRICO . PLIRAM, having excellent strength, can make the wall of high density with few shrinkage and is applied to such place where abrasion is severe and the fluctuation of temperature is heavier. Air Bond Types among PLIBRICO and PLIRAM developed by our laboratory, can increase the strength at room temperature and , therefore ,can make the installation and baking much more convenient and easier
PLICAST (Castable) is so called refractory cement which is mixed with proper amount of water at the job site for the installation. PLICAST may be poured into frames, or trowelled as is the case with ordinary cement, or gunited by gunning machines. After the installation by whichever method, PLICAST hardens and obtains enough strength at room temperature. Through the experiences and study of long years, various grades of PLICAST have been devel- oped according to the operation temperature, type of furnaces, method of installation, etc. and, therefore the most suitable grade can be selected in compliance with the given conditions for the construction of tough and liable monolithic walls.
PLIGUN (Gunning Mix) is gunited by gunning machines to make tough walls. It is also convenient to use PLIGUN for the repairing or maintenance purpose. Some grades among PLICAST can be also gunited, however, PLIGUN is specially formulated for guniting purpose only and can be gunited at any temperature whether hot or cold, and saves the time to great extent.
